*When I first began my self-publishing/poetry journey, I think I was basically going for the achievement factor, rather than concentrating on my writing!
My work was then, and still is,very eclectic!
Back then, we were still very much in the grip of Corona, and I did not want my poetry to add to the misery.
In Once upon a Time, there are a few light hearted/funny ones, as well as ones about life!
“Past Lives” is meant to be whimsical,I hope it brings a smile!
I once was a cat, or was it a rat?
Who knows, we are all edible to the Chinese.
Then, I was a twin who lived in Beijing
my mother was Nepalese.
I have been a tiger, a spider and a hang glider
who sailed through the air.
I have also been a clown, oh how I loved the
fun of the fair.
Now, I am a woman with green eyes and blond hair.
I wonder what I will be in my next life.
An object or a flower,
a creature or maybe a parasite.
Or perhaps an eye so I can spy or
enjoy the views.
But honestly, I would be content enough being
a butterfly so I could flutter by then land on you.
