We carry the pain.
We carry the pain of many.
From mother to daughter.
From father to son, down the ancestral line,
the pain we carry is heavy.
We did not ask for the weight of it all.
Why must we carry the burden of the mistakes we
did not make?
From the shackles of our history, we must break the
chains or witness our children suffer the same.
No one is born good or bad.
We only mirror what we see.
And so, the cycle of pain continues as lambs silently bleed.
